Overview

This course is designed to provide students with a basic knowledge of ISO 14001:2004. Students gain a working understanding of key environmental management concepts, such as aspects and impact identification and setting objectives and targets.

 

Program Details and Objectives

Experienced instructors provide basic understanding of the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.  The course structure incorporates presentations and interactive discussions.

 

Following the completion of this course; students should be able to:

û Understand environmental management definitions, concepts, and guidelines.

û Understand the purpose of the ISO 14000 Series.

û Understand the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 Standard.

û Identify Aspects and Impacts.

û Interpret the clauses of ISO 14001:1996.

û Understand the importance and benefits of an environmental management system (EMS).
