3 - Day Course
Overview This course is designed to teach the principles and practices of effective occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems and process audits in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Series of Standards and ISO 19011:2002, “Guidelines for Quality and Environmental Management Systems Auditing”.
Program Details and Objectives In this course, experienced instructors assist students with developing a high proficiency in health and safety management system concepts; and role-play group exercises provide students with practical experience in conducting internal audits.
Following the completion of this course; students should be able to: û Understand OHSAS 18001 definitions, concepts, and guidelines. û Understand the purpose of the OHSAS 18001 Series and supporting documents. û Understand the requirements of the OHSAS 18001:1999 Standard. û Identify Aspects and Impacts. û Interpret the clauses of OHSAS 18001:1999. û Understand the importance and benefits of an occupational health and safety management system (OH&S). û Understand Auditor Responsibilities.
